Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, but when they change it to these silly harvest parties, it takes away from the fun, the excitement, the little bit of fun scariness. As my kids are in their late teens and twentys now, I've always looked forward to seeing the little heathens wandering back and forth excitedly along our street. I look for costumes that show some thought and imagination. More importantly, I look for the wonder in kids' eyes that even strangers can be kindly.
